(1) Convenient transplantation
Only to develop interface of original website and to release program of management system, could WAP carries on data synchronization, which is a potential safety threat (i.e. system pressure, network safety, server performance, etc.). However, mobile portal put conversion of context and format in the cloud terminal of website group into practice through data integration technology. The data is stored in the cloud terminal without any effect on the original website.
(2) Customized portal
WAP only supports initiative release, which makes visiting WAP a bad experience. Users can only browse passively on the basis of the content that has been released, so users use WAP infrequently. But with mobile portal, users can build their own personal micro-portal as they need through selective subscription and sequence.
(3) Platform technology
WAP is based on traditional WAP (XML), it is limited to environment of available internet, or it cannot be normally used like traditional website browsing. While mobile portal is an APP in cell phone, not a website application. It covers network of China Unicom, China Telecom and China Mobile in the whole country based on CDN technology. It also support offline reading, break through traditional browsing mode and visit website at anytime, anywhere.
